Did they make it to Austria as the link suggests? I didn't think they even made into full production?

I think they did come back for a partner searching and re-launch in around 2007, the Monotub website is still in place, interesting design, and worked well, I contacted them in 2007 when they started to re-publisise and they sent me the rest of the coloured drums, orange, green & light blue ...
It was a unique machine with the removable drum, the programming & controls where very simple to understand & use and the dispenser was in a league with Asko, smooth side, deep and plenty of jets to blast every bit of detergent residue away!!
The schematics are great showing the outer poly tub, inner stainless drum sleeve which the coloured removable drum slides into...

Monotub Titan Washing Machine (2001)
The Titan washing machine was brought to the UK market by Monotub Industries Plc in 2001, the inventor of this machine was Martin Myerscough.
I would really like to get hands on with one of these to see how they worked, is there any videos lurking Mike? Nice pics!
Am guessing that the sleeve drum had a hub for the removable drum to connect to, or was a good fit?
And the belt must get submerged if it connected directly to the sleeve, so hope the motor was well shielded!

This machine was the inspiration for the Mueller Special. Mike, thanks for posting the pictures. I already asked Mueller to send me some Special's pictures without it's skirt.
I personaly love Titan's clean (square) design, but here in this side of the pond consumers would say it's too plain.. maybe even boring.
The stainless steel drum seems unnecessary. Why a tub + drum + removable drum if it can be done with tub + removable drum only? It also makes cleaning much easier because there are no hidden areas to grow mold or gather dirts that can start smelling over the time. On Specia lall the parts are exposed, so cleaning the machine is really easy as one would only need to remove the drum and wipe or scrub the tub.

Hi Andy, now that I`ve seen the schematics its gotten me more than curious, no vids that I know of, I wonder if the back stainless steel panel of the inner drum acts as the spider etc??, also the drive shaft appears hollow which would allow for the pump spray to pass through it, and emerge in the connecting outlet for the slide-in drum....I wonder if that was the weakness with the shafts on initial batch, I could imagine you would need a solid shaft to cope with 7kg of wet clothing banging around!! The removable drum slides into the stainless liner and then locks into the stainless filter panel, its a three way brass fitting so can only fit one way, and a large rubber fitting, the door has an interlock connected to this, it wont operate unless the drum is locked into position.
I need to take a look and take the rubber belt cover off & see if the back of the drum has a moulded back panel & spider with belt drive pulley etc,(P6 MRUM BASE1QG) and that the outer back drum panel that we see in my pics is another moulded protrusion of the whole tank...puzzling the more I look!!
Thomas, I think the inner drum stainless is acting as the spider and shoulders a lot of the direct weight, the removable drum fits so tight it acts as a weight diffuser as well, the thing I noticed in the Mueller is that the drive is the tripod you see when the drum is taken out, my worry would be you have to have a space between the slider drum and outer drum which in itself puts all the weight on that tripod shaft & bearing, as the removable drum cannot be clamped on and bolted with strength like a normal FL (so the inner drum doesnt move at all)I see the potentail for "PLAY) in the drum - and that puts more pressure on the drum shaft & bearings, but only time will tell on that one!!

Mike, the tripod fits incredibly tight, and each one of it's lets has some kind of pressure lock by the end.
there's no thance to have a "play". Actually, the tripod acts exactly like the drum on Titan, but as it's open, the only difference is that it makes the cleaning chore easier.
Of course, only time will tell but after the 14kg load of rugs (twice it's load capacity) and many other overloads, I can say it's really impressive.
I've made maybe more than 150 loads in it and it still looking as new.

Mueller is sending me two doors.
The first door is a replacement, black with chrome details, exactly like the one I broke.
The other door is used on the washer only models, 100% clear with white or gray details. it will make things easier for the videos because the chrome reflects my lights.
I'm going to make many different videos with all kinds of loads people usually have.
The only overload on video will be the rugs wash. I'm loving to test this machine, but I don't need to reduce it's lifetime.
I'm going to open the machine to take the pictures you want but, as my laundry room is tight due to the other machines, doing this is quite messy. I have to take all of the other machines out because the special is the last on the row. Next month I'm going to be on vacations and I'm going to paint the laundry room, so i'll get this chance to take the pictures.

I think your right re the mrum base, would imagine that this has a groove for the belt, which I imagine the middle drum is bolted to. Having the Dyson fully apart they do bare resemblances in the shaft area. Ie the dyson is shaft in shaft, whereas the titan has a shower system. I can't see a real reason why they had so much difficulty with the machine. Unless the components were really poor?
Pity there isn't a service manual published to help these questions.
Looking forward to the 'special' videos, it will be interesting to see there take on the removable tub design. Probably more reliable than the titan as it may feature a more normal shaft?
