It looks so beautiful with the colored plastic drum!
Is it on sale in USA? I don't think it is in Italy yet, but I have contacted the manufacturer for info...

Titan

Hi Guys, yes I managed to get hold of one of these machines first time around, it was first produced 2001 and was the result of a UK based business man / entrapeneur watching a repair man service his washing machine once again..his thinking was "What hasnt changed, What can be made better" and he came up with this, as was then the Titan Monotub....it had bad press through Which, consumer testing and the shares of the private company dropped overnight resulting in the original company going bust...

Its now being relaunced again, and watch this space,Its a fun machine to use with the removable drums, the shower system needs to be seen as its very powerful and uses very little water on a 6kg load etc..Its also simple in operation , very logical programming, touch, press & Go!!!

That is one heck of a washing mschine! Pictures show the tub is so big you can sit in it! It also comes in Orange or Lime as well as Blue.

Well, I guess it is time to describe all of the features. The site of the washing machine does not reveal much about all of the features so I am taking a wild guess at trying to describe them.

Hot & Cold fill/ Cold only fill: The machine can connect to a Hot and cold water line. Or it can connect to only a cold water line and then heat the water with an internal heater.

"Intelligent" Fill: Automatically detects the size of the load and fills up with just the right amount of water.

Automatic Load Balancing: Automatically fixes a load if it goes off-balance.

Upgradable Firmware: The machine's internal software (Called firmware) can be upgraded somehow. I don't know how...

Tub & Drum: The drum and tub are angled. The drum is stainless steel and the tub is polyproylene. I don't know how much more/how much less prone to mold it is as Stainless Steel. The tub can be removed for easy loading and unloading and it comes in 3 colors: Orange, Sky(Blue), and Lime(Green).

PowerShower Wash Action: Judging by the picture above it is a VERY POWERFUL recirculation spray.

Bio-Step/Enzyme Activator: Catalyst Cycle?

"Refresh" Cycle: I've seen this setting on the Calypso washer and read the Calypso's manual online and it says it is used to freshen-up laundry that has been stored a long time. I think this does the same thing.

If anyone else has corrections/additions for this list, please post.

In a plastic tub?
Is that possible?
How do they do it?
You've got all these plastic tub TL machines that max out at 600 RPM, I guess from deformation from the spin force? And those plastic tubs have massive honeycomb reinforcements. This has none.
How'd they do it!?

I just LOVE this washing machine!!! I think it should come to the U.S.!!! I'd think it would be a huge hit to have the drum double as a stylish laundry basket!!! I mean, the lazier Americans can be the better right? lol!

I think that the metal tubing used for the recirculation showers also provides support to the plastic drum so that it can withstand the higher spin speeds.
