11:39 pm, ship's time is when it struck the berg and then 2:20 am on the 15th is when the stern slipped below the waves, never a good situation.

Saw Night to Remember in original theater release, 1958.  And every movie and docu version since. 

Titaniac, though there are lots bigger ones than me.

 

By weight rather than 'seats', the lifeboats could have held everyone.  But that would have taken longer and longer they did not have.  'Perfect storm' at every turn:
