A little bit early, But Happy Mothers Day to all of you out there! For all the hard work you do and all the love and caring you give! <p> HA this reminds me of my sister and I.

That's hilarious. I don't have any brothers, is this what it would have been like?

It somewhat of reminds me of the youtube 'Paul and Frank are not gay' video (if you go looking for it, viewer discretion advised!!!)

Weren't we

wishing Venus and Carol a happy Mother's Day???

Maybe Laundress, as well, and Heather?

Bethann is a human mommy to Marley May, Bud, and the other kitty.....

HA HAH

Just saw the "are not gay" video, OMG what an amzing film! Wow if those 2 are Str8, then they sure are comfortable with themselves!

Happy Mothers' Day to all our resident Moms. Doesn't much matter if you have kitties or kiddies, if you are responsible for another's care and nuturing, you are a mom and it is a remarkable responsibility. After Communion at tonight's Mass, our Pastor asked all mothers to stand and he gave them all a special blessing. It takes a lot to move me, but that did me in. As I listened to his prayer, I had a vivid picture of my own mother and my very dearest friend and neighbor who died soon after my mother. I managed to snivel away with a modacum of decorum and then looked around. It was easy to tell who no longer had their mothers - we were all doing the same thing, both men and women. Somehow that was strangely comforting.

And for any who need a reminder of how difficult a mother's role is, read the Erma Bombeck column "What Is A Mother?".

Happy mother's day to all you mothers out there.

I once asked my mother in my childhood why women are not priests. She laughed and said because women serve God by bringing forth life to this earth. Men simply needed to find another way.

So cheers to you ladies who provide the greatest service to the planet and to God that there is.

Love you all.
Mean it.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wish I was able to wish my Mom....Happy Mother's Day...I lost my Mom to ovarian cancer back in 1968.......I just wish she was here with me today so I could tell her how much I love an appreciate everything she did for me.

Mom...Happy Mother's Day in heaven!

Gary

Thanks guys!

I had a wonderful mother's day. 13 beautiful long stemmed PANK roses, delivered to my home on Friday,
A Sunbeam Mixmaster 12 with 2 bowls, and a heart shaped cake!

I hope ALL you guys did something special for your mom's on this day. Little things can mean so much. Especially since we go through weight gain, stretch marks, and *ahem* birth for you! ;-)

For those of us, like myself who lost her mom to cancer 15 yrs ago, I remember vividly the last mother's day we had with her, knowing, she would not be around for the next one. Saddens me to this day, she was a hoot, but she is with me in spirit always, and when folks who knew her tell me I am like her, I smile proudly, and say, hell yeah! I'm just as outspoken, nutty, crazy, and her mannerisms live inside me. More so than my other 2 siblings.

To those who still have their moms...remember EVERYDAY is mother's day. Treat her kindly all the time! None of us are perfect, but we try to do the best we can. I'm proud to say my youngest daughter thinks of me as her hero. Most of her life, I have raised her as a single parent. Not easy, esp. in this day and age.

We sacrifice so much for our children. (Well at least those of us who don't get them taken away from CPS, or something) LOL

A special belated mother's day to gansky too. Although I have never met you, I know you are raising Skylar, and you deserve some recognition for having to play both roles.

I can't wait for Father's Day...I will get a new drill! LOL

Thanks All!

I had a great day too. My hubby and I had just gotten back from Maui for a week long vacation (sans kids) and I got to see them for the first time in a week on Mother's Day! Hubby did buy me Hawaiian Diamond earrings (a beautiful green stone found in volcanic material) while we were there.

But, today I am back in the real world. LOADS of laundry (well, those are fun anyway!!!!), cleaning of the house, and a hubby who is out of town for the week. Did I mention that I have to have a garage sale on Friday/Sat too? :)

A Mom's work is never done! But I wouldn't have it any other way either. :)

Here is a picture of my view for the week.............oh, and hot cabana boys too! We were at the Maui Four Seasons Resort. Some of the other guests were Ozzy & Sharon Osborne (Kelly too and she has lost a lot of weight) and Vanna White! It was fun to see some celebs just hanging out and being real. Ozzy & Sharon are very nice, although you cannot understand Ozzy very well! LOL

And to think

I almost put in my post, after my Mother's Day gifts, that it couldn't get any better than that, Heather goes to Maui! LOL

Way to go girl!

And I also retract the phrase: Small things matter.

Bigger & better is always the best!

Ahhhhhhhlooooooooha!

ALOHA!

Well, the trip wasn't for Mother's Day but it worked out like it was!
Hubby won the trip for sales at his work. We go somewhere every year (spouse/partner only trip) since he has started. We have been to Hawaii, Switzerland (Lucerne, Bern, and Interlaken), Puerto Rico, and now Maui. Next year is NEW YORK CITY! We can't wait for that one. We will be staying at the Waldorf Astoria. We get to have dinner on Ellis Island and a get to see a show on Broadway. We want to check out Chinatown too because we love Dim Sum.
We also get a family trip once year too. We have been to Traverse City Michigan, Williamsburg VA, Walt Disney World, and this year it is back to Traverse City. Next year it is somewhere is North Carolina but I can't remember where.
We are VERY lucky to have him work for such a great company. And I am very lucky that he is a great sales person and can sell ice to Alaskans. LOL No offense to any Alaskans out there. :)
