Thanks guys!
I had a wonderful mother's day. 13 beautiful long stemmed PANK roses, delivered to my home on Friday,
A Sunbeam Mixmaster 12 with 2 bowls, and a heart shaped cake!
I hope ALL you guys did something special for your mom's on this day. Little things can mean so much. Especially since we go through weight gain, stretch marks, and *ahem* birth for you! ;-)
For those of us, like myself who lost her mom to cancer 15 yrs ago, I remember vividly the last mother's day we had with her, knowing, she would not be around for the next one. Saddens me to this day, she was a hoot, but she is with me in spirit always, and when folks who knew her tell me I am like her, I smile proudly, and say, hell yeah! I'm just as outspoken, nutty, crazy, and her mannerisms live inside me. More so than my other 2 siblings.
To those who still have their moms...remember EVERYDAY is mother's day. Treat her kindly all the time! None of us are perfect, but we try to do the best we can. I'm proud to say my youngest daughter thinks of me as her hero. Most of her life, I have raised her as a single parent. Not easy, esp. in this day and age.
We sacrifice so much for our children. (Well at least those of us who don't get them taken away from CPS, or something) LOL
A special belated mother's day to gansky too. Although I have never met you, I know you are raising Skylar, and you deserve some recognition for having to play both roles.
I can't wait for Father's Day...I will get a new drill! LOL
