Ok normally I don't look at those tvshows but I saw a appliance that 'irons' without an iron... seems to go so well but does it work. Do you have seen something like this, do you own such kind of things to refresh and dewrinkle clothes sheets drapers... well tell us!

How I hate Things like This !

Absolutely useless!
And I can´t imagine TOBI replace my ironer as the guy in the tv-show says!!!

Re Tobi

Hello
I bought the Tobi thinking the same thing that I could replace my Iron, boy was I wrong!!! it took twice as long to do my cotton shirts and other clothes and I was not impressed. I sent it back with great hassel from the co had to talk to a person in India and could not understand what the hell they were saying! they did not wish me to send it back they would give me half off if I kept it! I finally had to be rude about it and it has gone back and I would not waste your hard earned money on it. I thought that it was very cheepley made and would break aftera while. I did keep the free hand steamer and used it twice and it broke and would not work at all!! so much for the junk that we have to put up with to day.

Re Tobi

Hi
dont waste you money I sent mine back because it was a waste of money and did not preform as it was promiced and very cheep.
it took me less time with the iron with much better results.

Bad Tobi, Bad

There have been a few versions of this out over the last 30 years or so. They always look good in the ads but never work. I noticed in one commercial the lady demonstrating the steamer was puliing a shirt sleeve taught to make it appear the thing worked. When she released her pull on the fabric it was still wrinkled.

Save your money for a good quality iron.

The look

I think this junk is marketed to a younger crowd that does not know there is not (yet) a way around ironing. Those of us past 40 made the mistake already and know better. The observation about the furniture is something I keep in mind when I am looking at an ad. You are right on mark veg.

These units are used in "The fashion industry". When I worked in a fashion department store the womens department had one and they would use it to maybe "freshen up" a dress. But it did not work on thick fabrices so the Metrosexual with a beard who is using the Tobi in the commercial probably should have used an iron. The commercial units the store had were sturdy, the Tobi looks like it would easily break.

Speaking of another "Tobi":

Before you throw it away.

I cannot comment on the TOBI. But I once had one of those handheld garment steamers. It didn't work on clothes but it really helped when removing wallpaper.
After steaming off the kitchen wallpaper, I threw the steamer in the garbage with the old wallpaper.
