Since these machines are GM built would they have been thumpers also.

I know 30 yrs ago I used some machines in a laundromat that had thumpers. The machines weren't new by any means but had jetcones and I don't recall but think they were solid tub machines.

Yes they were.  My first college apartment had these installed--the washers.  I rented the apartment May of 1974 and moved in August.  There were old turquoise F-Flos when I signed the lease and the thumpers were there when I moved in.  Either they were trouble prone or complex inhabitants didn't like them (seemed 1 of the 4 was always out of order) and were replaced with SQs during the school year sometime.  My apartment was at the end of a row/building and my bedroom was perpendicular next to the laundry building.  I went to sleep every night hearing those Frigidaires thump--I loved it--until the Queens came in.

Oh, those damned Queens

There goes the campus once the Queens moved in.

But I bet the Queens had the most colorful wash loads.
