Today's P.O.D. 4/5/14 loaded Hotpoint!

Definite TOL Hotpoint's- couldn't ask for anything more in a washer or dryer. Can't make out the one washer control- going left to right- soak timer, temps., cycle modifier (handles progression of cycle options), water level, MYSTERY KNOB?, and cycle control.

Anyone care to identify the mystery knob?

Have always liked the looks of these machine, but I just don't like those knobs. My friend Jay's range has those.

Does it have a wash heater? The reason I ask is there are no actual temperature numbers on the temperature dial.

The design of those early-'70's Hotpoints (and those ads toting them to novice housewives probably buying their first appliances) are Cute!!!!
