Zenith Appliances

My Auntie Janet had a Zenith refer a bit newer than the one pictured above. It had a big chrome handle and went to live in the basement after being usurped by a coppertone M/W Signature in about 1971. I have seen Zenith Wringer Washers at the Salvation Army.

That is a very cool dryer Runematic. I've seen similar ones under the Marquette brand name. This is absolutely a Franklin made dryer from around 1960.

Who Knew-(well, besides Robert of course)

So after commenting on this thread, i went to actually view the POD and I was, at 11:00pm, too late. However I discovered that a special mention is made on the POD page if you are the first person to view it. YAY! So I swooped in again tonight and was again the first to view the Inglis Royal Pair POD. What a beautiful Canadian interpretation of the steadfast Whirlpool machines. It almost makes you cry! So be the first to see the POD sometime. Do I win a prize?

That Zenith Dryer looks like GE married a Whirlpool. Nice.

My appliance lady Myra and I went on a service call about 20yrs ago down in her neck of the woods, and there was a Zenith washer in the basement. I tried to get the lady to part with it, but she said it belonged to the landlord. I always wondered what happened to it.......It was a very tinny looking washer, and in pretty bad shape, but Ive always regretted not trying hard to get it.
