Found this pretty much unused looking in box Foodsaver at the thrift store for $6. Works really well.. We had a cheapie old thing years ago that bit the dust and never replaced it, until now that is. The box was open and the canister and hose part were missing..don't need those anyways.

Who can resist a little tv, I surely can't. This one has a built in 18v battery.. Haven't really had a chance to test it out yet.. Need some sort of digital antenna converter now. but it's cute Sony KV5300 from the early 80's.

Very cool little Sony Trinitron

I remember that television when I was a department store buyer at the Big E. It was pricey and a favorite of shoplifters. Cables through the handle, alarm tabs and Sensormatic tags made the display look like it was on life support. Congrats on your find.

What do bags cost for the FoodSaver? I had an old Seal-A-Meal years ago, but the bags were kind of pricey.

The little Sony is very stylish.

Not sure how much the bags are, not cheap I'd imagine.. I think our old one was a Seal a Meal as well... those bags were much thinner than these ones which are quite heavy duty feeling.

I've had a Food saver for several years and love it. I also have the cannisters. I keep the brown sugar in one and it will last for months without going hard. I also use the bags for cheese which will stay fresh for weeks. I get my bags at Costco. There are several rolls, 2 different sizes in a box.

The OEM bags are kind of pricey- a 3-roll pack of small (8" wide x 20' roll) bags is about $20. I've been using replacement bags from eBay. I got one jumbo roll of small and one jumbo roll of large (11" wide), 50' per roll, for $25.59 with shipping. They work just fine! The auction number was 261333378934.

I previously tried the special replacement rolls that had a special liner that was supposed to be good for moist foods (packing steak and the like) but they were terrible.
