Toughest laundry detergent from Persil

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

For the past couple of years, liquid Persil ProClean Stain Fighter liquid has been their top-rated detergent. I used it for years in a 2017 Speed Queen top-loader and it did a commendable job of stain removal. However, it produces far too much suds in my 2023 model 7009 Speed Queen front-loader, even at very small doses, so I no longer use it.

I checked in on Persil’s American website recently to find they have unveiled a new range of detergents. Regular Persil is now called ‘Persil Everyday Clean’. ProClean Stain Fighter has been changed to ‘Advanced Clean’. It has Oxi plus an enzyme cocktail for better stain removal. It appears you are already using their new top-of-the-line detergent in pac form.

In all, there are now four variations of Persil detergent, each being available in liquid and pac formats.

I’m sure the testing organization we love to hate will weigh in on the new line of Persil products within the next few months.

Here’s a link to the Persil website.

I'm using Persil ProClean 2in1 liquid (and one bottle of PowerPearls remaining) that I bought at the time the Pearls were discontinued (4 years ago??).  This is what I get with 1/4 cup + STPP on a medium fill in the IWL12.

I've been using

Persil Pro Clean for several years now and have had above average results with it.

My Mother, for decades used Rinso Blue powdered detergent and nothing else, but given the choice she'll still use Mrs. Stewarts bluing agent and "cook" starch for starching our bed linens, along with ironing them.

She's ninety-one years old...

persil advanced clean

I believe Persil Advanced Clean is the rival to Tide Hygienic Clean. It does a great job with little to no sudsing. I pair mine with Snuggle Blue Sparkle liquid fabric softener and use heavy soil on everything on the normal cycle on the coin operated Speed Queen Commercials and I get the best results. The smell is also nice along with the softener accompanying it.

As has been eluded preivously, I tried one bottle of Persil yeear ago when I had the Duet and used the Smart Diseppnse cartridge. I had horrible suds lock and took me foreveer to get that solved. ONce bottle was used, no more. Found didn't have that much of a problem with Tide liquids.

If you are not wedded to liquids, Persil Universal pulver (powder) Tiefenrein (deep clean) works very well with minimal sudsing at minimal dosage, like less than half of the little 4 oz. container that is included in the box (with STPP).
I wish we had that stuff over here. The best they have in the US right now is advanced clean. The smell reminds me of what Wisk used to smell like.

We have good results from Persil oxy liquid. It's important to do enough rinses in a front load washer and run the cleaning cycle within a couple loads after the clean washer icon appears. It removes detergent residue and prevents sudsing. Also prolongs spider arm life.

I believe Persil combined all of their top tier products and combined them into the advanced clean formula we know today. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
