Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I think the phrase to look out for is "exclusive of decoration" on what are otherwise supposedly 100% cotton towels, since all bets are off what "decoration" actually means or what they're sewing with.

Someone had asked about the ability to wash the JCPenney towel in hot water.

I always wash mine in hot water(water heater is set around 140-150 degrees) In the several years we have used the JCPenney towel it has not shrunk, and it is 100% cotton. I cant speak for any of the other towel lines they carry but the JCPenney towel does withstand a hot water wash shrink free

Sam's towels

I put my Sam's towel through a few washes hoping to remove any of the waxy coating on the fibers and after 2 washes the side began to unravel. If I can find the receipt I will exchange it and try again. Seemed pretty nice overall.

Lands End Deal

That is a good deal on the Lands End towels at Sears. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to make it by the end of the sale. I'll keep my eyes open for another sale soon. I was unaware that you could buy the Lands End towels in the Sears stores. Cool!

JC Penny Towels

Late to the game, yes, but I wanted to check the specifics. My towels are "The JCPenny Towel" in "Basil", a now discontinued color. I've had them for about 2 years now, and they are holding up well, and have completely resisted shrinking and pooching.

The rough towels we have from Walmart are Westpoint-Stevens 100% Cotton.

We have a few "The Big One" from Kohl's. They seem to soften up quite nice and are quite thick and absorbent. And they don't cost a fortune either.
