Hi there

I know there was a question a while ago about what oil to use in transmissions in front loading Bendix's.

The instructions from my Bendix LT say that Shell Tellus 27 is the ideal oil to use, but this has been replaced by tellus 44 and this is normally in 60 ltr drums .

I recently found a uk company that specialises in oils called Caldo Oils ltd in St Helens.

They recommend HYD ISO 32 and ive bought some to do an oil change this weekend.

This may be of help to you guys.

thanks

Thats my 1973 Wolseley six automatic one of only 17 on the road in the uk , its just a month older than me, 2.2 ltr 6 cylinder with 3 speed auto.

Its the big uncle to the mini with the transverse engine and is a big roomy 5 seater.

Its just back on the road after some tune up work and a new exhaust

cheers

Richard

ISO32 oil

I've used ISO32 compressor oil for both Westy Laundromat speed changers and a Frigidaire Multi-Matic transmission with great success.

The car is too cool!!

It looks fabulous in white! We never got the Landcrab in any form in the US, so I always enjoy seeing them as they were so advanced for their time - Issigonis of course. Is that an 8-track in the dash, maybe a period Radiomobile? If so I do hope it's loaded with something appropriate, like Matt Monro! Great trucks too.

8 track

Hi yes it's a period radio mobile 8 track I've a few tapes this is probably simon and garfunkel !

The trucks were parked at the end of the street there owner has a few old Bmc cars which he loads on the trucks for car shows.
