I can't beleive someone would be THAT dumb-to windsurf during a hurricane? Why didn't he release or let go of the sail rig?he was obviously out of control.Lucky one there.Guess he valued his sail or kite rig more than his life?guess he says"Hey I paid a $1000 for this rig-I am not going to lose it!"Years and years ago when I lived in florida-the hurricanes would draw the surfers in like a magnet-they would be out there riding the waves and boards during the winds. But NO windsurfers-guess that hadn't been invented yet?mid 60's at the time.Or maybe the surfers had more sense in those days?

OK Shane

how are things in your area today? We didn't get any rain here but it has turned over-cast. I hope you are hanging in there and feel better today.

Here in the ATL, the tornado sirens started going off as I was leaving this morning. It has been raining steadily here for over 24 hours now. It will be interesting to see what kind of dent all this rain has made in our drought and how much the lake levels go up.

Well Shane

your rainstorm has finally hit Atlanta. Peter H. is right. The power keeps going off and on here at the office. And rain like I have not seen in several years. I hope this eases the drought in north Georgia.

It barely rained where I am! It rained all week, but not hard. I never lost power! My EX is in Melbourne... sadly his house didn't flood :o(

Shane, thanks for the update. I don't subscribe to cable, so I haven't really been keeping up with the storm. At least this one isn't as bad as the ones we had a few years ago... power out for weeks, no gas, no ice, trees in all the roads... that wasn't fun!
