This is from the Laundry Forum. Since it COULD possibly be another Burpalator Norge style:

"While I'm about to replace my washer as it's nearing the end of it's life, I'm curious as to how old it really is. Its a Norge LNC6532A80 Rev C from Montgomery Ward. Purchased second (maybe even third) hand when I bought my house. I'm guessing 15 years since I haven't found anything listed on the internet, but I thought it good to know it's age before I finally say goodbye. "

more like 25 years old

1981-82-83 I don't have the service book for that exact model, but the books & catalog from 82 I have come very close to those model numbers. LNC is Wards source code for Norge products, UAN was WCI products.

This is one from the post-woodgrain panels, remember the gold/metal framed panel with the inset controls and smaller, square buttons...

Re: Norge set:

This set is I think around the latter 70's at least that would be my guess? These were very tough washers and dryers. The washer had a 3/4 hp. motor and a commercially proven transmission in it. The Dryer had an 8 cft. drum and a 21 inch steel fan in the back of the drum that blew the air through the drum instead of sucking the air through. I had one of the dryers and washers were the Montgomery wards/Norges and it was by far the best washer I have ever owned. On thing on the dryer was that it had broke down and I replased the motor on it and after about a month later I got a dumb-ass-attack and sold it, and have regreted it ever since. These are the Mighty Norges. Danf.

Oy, that's one of the first Norgetags, and if I were to guess, I'd say it's from around 1986 or so. The wide back-opening lid is a dead giveaway. Surprises me that it's been running this long, yet it also doesn't surprise me that it's on its way out...

Re: washer maker:

Rest assured this is one of the Norge/Tags. I had the Magic chef version in 1995. And for the year of the washer I would agree it being that of 1986 to 1993 or theres about virsion. As I had one of the Montgomery Wards washers bought in 1986 and it must have been one of the 85 models as it had the burpalator agi. in it. Absolutey the best washer I have ever had. Thanks. Danf. P.S. The WCI. machines had the angelwinged agi. in it like the Gibson and Kelvinators and you could deffenitly tell the difference between the Norges and the White-Westinghouse built machines and the tubs were a little smaller and narrower. Trust me as I used to work for Montgomery Wards.
