I'm currently trying to re-discover a washer from my childhood!
Unfortunately all I remember was that it was white, and the control was on the top-right on the front of the machine. The dial/knob was a semi conical shape with a flat front. I think the markings were on the dial/knob itself and turned as you turned the knob. Pull start. That knob was all I could see as a kid.
I don't even recall if it was a top- or front-loader. I don't remember other controls (if any) on the machine. As far as I know, it was an early 80s washer but could go back to the late 70s.
Does it ring a bell for anyone?
A little background: This curiosity started when we got a cheap dryer we had to hook up ourselves (vent and all). Then I decided to look into our washer, a Maytag A207 from I think 1975 that we inherited (runs great but needs new belts - first belt change since it was new I'm guessing). A bunch of youtube videos and searching eventually brought me here.
I really curious to find out what my old washer was though. It wasn't nearly as old as some featured here, but you guys dig up some real treasures so I remain hopeful.
