I'm an English ex-pat living in Italy and we have a dead washing machine I'm trying to save. I have a very limited knowledge of electrics and washers but I am highly motivated! We cant afford to replace the washer and are currently hand washing nappies and clothes, not much fun! The machine just died mid cycle, no signs of life. With a multimeter I managed to test that voltage went as far as the circuit board and all I could think to do was take out the board and put the meter across any components that I could. From that all I can see is that there are 3 resistors that do not read across the meter. Does that mean they've failed, can I bypass them to check or do I need to try and identify and replace them and then try the machine again, that could be tricky but I'll give it a go! Not really experienced with a soldering iron. Thanks in advance if there is anyone out there that may be able to help us out!
