I didn't know where to exactly post this and if it need to be moved else where so be it.
On Sunday, (09/13/2009)I decided to see if one voice can make a difference. I E-mailed Maytag, from there site "contact us" and said the following:
"I have been wondering since Maytag dishwashers are now mostly tall tub machines with direct feed wash systems, why Maytag does not go back to the reverse racking design of the 1970's and 1980's. Plates and silverware on the top, glasses on the bottom. I personally owned one of these machines back in the 1980's and found that these machines cleaned perfectly, everything fit in perfectly because of how the rack were placed in the machines, and the capacity was huge. Since most of your dishwasher now are tall tub this would be the perfect time to "reintroduce" this design. Three (3) full spray arms and with no rack cut-outs you would have the largest usable capacity on the market. I hope to hear back from product develoment or someone who can give me a very clear answer.
Thank you for your time.
Here is the response received today:
Thank you for responding.
We appreciate and value our customers' opinions on our products. Regrettably, our product development teams are not usually able to respond to customer inquiries or requests directly. Rather, they gather the information provided to them via customer feedback, to make changes to our products in respect to their quality and overall design.
At Maytag, we are constantly working to improve our appliances, and it is only through feedback from customers like yourself that we are able to do so. Regrettably, our product development teams are not usually able to respond to customer inquiries or requests directly. Although your feedback may not generate further direct contact, our various product develolpment groups do regularly review our files, to look for areas in which we can improve our products.
Thank you for contacting Maytag.

Sounds to me like I just got the typical "Blah-Blah-Blah--thanks now shut up"
