Is this what you guys do when I'm not watching???

The lessons to be learned are:

If you're going to be loose with the icing in your baster, don't own black sheets.

Frigidaire jet action can tangle a sheet faster than the characters in a blue movie! The aggressive shredding of a Kenmore is much more acceptable! ;-)

OY something just AIN'T right

I just came from church, and I see this...

Like I can almost hear Venus saying "Now boys..."

Off to Michael's house I go now!

"Bobload arrives late and was unusually 'mum'&q

I've been far too "spent" the last several days to muster up the strength to get to check this out. Now I must crawl back between the sheets, no more energy. And see, I began the tangled web I weave all the way back to 1947. I sure looked good back in 1950 didn't I. And considering my age now 50+ years, I look down right hot! lol

Big Foot

I wondered how long it would take Gary to "beat feet" to the thread and then in the decorum of genteelity, he avoids the whole thing!
Bob, when I'm too busy to change the sheets, I just spray them with Pam!

You guys are so right

Hee hee - I'll bet the Webmaster has his slapping hand in the air!

Nope, you guys are exactly right. Early Frigidaire washers were the worst, terrible machines. I think each and every one of you should simply get rid of that machine and give it to me. No need to keep such a horror, so I will be more than glad to take it off your hands. I'll make a deal with you, for every early Frigidaire that arrives I will trade you a refurbished direct drive Whirlpool or Kenmore, I think that would be more than fair and everyone would get exactly what they deserve.

Don't take my Frigidaires!

You're not getting 'em! I just spent the morning working on the 57 Control Tower (perfectly level) and the timer of the '49... Next is the water valve and a new cord for the 49 and then it's washday, it's piled up to the dusty rafters!

A direct-drive Kenmore?

Roger and I were commenting how, after using the Unimatic, everything else just kind of, well, pales in comparison.

And as for THAT model, Greg...

That's a belt-drive in Greg's picture...at least it's not a total loss as I would take that one over a DD! I saw that exact model on eBay a while back, around the time I bought my 1981 24-incher, which thankfully is a few models above that one!

Nate, I know what the problem is...why your links in the other thread didn't work and why the GIF here isn't displaying. While Robert fixed the glitch with quotes in the subject drift header, the message body itself still doesn't like them when it comes to inserting HTML links or images in the text. Just remove the quotes from your img src or a href tags and it should work fine...it did for me all the times I've done this.

YAY

And that pushes this thread beyond 200 responses. We have to let this live a while longer, at least until we can all save this on our hard drive before it gets "hard deleted" with the rest of 'em.

Now if it ends up getting "soft deleted" by Robert, that's our own doing, tee hee ;-)

Interesting

The pics and stuff appear here fine...maybe the problem's been fixed? I've tried it on a few different computers.

I did notice the glitch a few weeks ago, but I think it's been resolved since.

And yes, I 'd probably go for that belt-drive, too, to be honest. The straight-vanes were pretty good agitators...

Just for fun...

I'll post the video here as well! :)

I am grateful that so many people had such a great time here in Tucson and just seem to want to keep the memories going.
