I'll be devil's advocate here and say it was more than just the kitchen that sold the the house, location, price, etc (says the guy with the circa 1960 kitchen). At least they are trying to find that stuff a good home.

Mike, that is a very handsome kitchen you have, even if it's not MCM style.

 

I agree with Davey.  At least they are offering it up to be saved, but it's unfortunate that they're asking so much that it won't sell by the time the demo team shows up.  Careful dismantling is not their specialty.  OTOH it would cost at least the asking price for a custom kitchen that reproduces that look.  Regardless, it's better than letting some HGTV or DIY pretty boy and his wrecking crew take a sledge hammer to the whole thing in pursuit of a fractional ratings gain.

Is the picture you posted of your existing Kitchen?  If so....It's very  nice.   I like the compactness of it - everything is within reach and the appliances look good. What kind of refrigerator do you have?
