Thanks guys

I bid on a old turquoise Waring blendor on eBay late last year and the base was smashed up when I got. Well, I just bid on and received another one. 6 bucks! I pleaded with the seller to pack well and told him the plastic shatters like glass. Well, the plastic did not shatter which is good. But there's something rattling loose in the base. I'm afraid to plug it in. I'm thinking maybe I can take the other base with the shattered plastic and put the plastic from the new one on that. I don't know if that's possible but it's worth a look.

I'll post pictures tomorrow morning of the blendor.

Speaking of turquoise, boy is BA going to have something to post pictures of soon.

Turquoise Waring Blendors

That's the "new" one on the left (not cleaned up yet). The one on the right is the one with the chunks of plastic out of it.

The chrome? plate that says Waring Blendor on it is slightly different between the two, otherwise identical. Except the cord on the "new" one seems to be a replacement cord and its very short. I got up enough nerve to plug it in and it works OK. It doesn't look like mixing and matching the pieces on these units is going to be very easy if possible.
