The first one with the Turq KA, I saw on Austin Craigslist with the photos. It looked to be in really good shape. Looked like a KDC16. Here's the first pic

Turquoiae was very popular in the late '50s and early '60s, along with Yellow. By '66, Turquoise was being phased out in favour of Avocado, and by '67 or '68, you basically couldn't get it any more.

I dearly love White, because it's always in style and always matches, but Turquoise is my favourite colour after that. Most people don't realise it, but the Petries' kitchen on The Dick Van Dyke Show had Turquoise appliances. Most seasons of that show were black-and-white, and the colour episodes are not easy to find and see.

My second cousin Alfred's wife, Betty Ann, had the most wonderful set of Turquoise appliances when their house was new. I seem to remember that the reefer was a Westinghouse, but I don't remember the other appliances' makes. Been a long time, and those appliances are looooooooooong gone.
