This was the washer & dryer set in the early episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies.
It's amazing what's still out there to be found for a reasonable price. I hope somebody here got them.
Good machines for a good price. The Gas HOH dryers are decent for what they are but will more than likely will have to be gone through if there is corrosion form the standing pilot and if there isn’t much corrosion the outer felt seal will have to be replaced since they tend to crisp up around the heat inlet into the heating shroud/halo
Someone should go through the hassle of converting that dryer from gas to electric.
702S is cool as long as the suds system is all there, intact, and works. It has a 45 second spray rinse unlike the 30 second found in all Maytag automatics back the first AMP in '49. Yes, it make a profound difference.

One thing I would do for sure is convert that gas HOH from standing pilot ignition to electronic ignition. Yes, the gas HOH dryers can be slow but one thing I did to my Maytag DG306 earlier this summer was I put a low heat 120F thermostat in to replace the cycling thermostat that wasn’t working properly and you would think with a 120F low heat thermostat it would take longer to dry but it seems to dry much faster with larger loads of laundry and the front of the cabinet is quite warm on my 1973 Maytag DG306 but gradually seems to get a little cooler towards the end of the cycle and has a better cool down as well and that’s one trick I did to make my Maytag DG306 dry a little faster.
