Looks great Terrytown is on the West bank in Jefferson Parish.  there ere lots of home built in the mid 50 forward in Jefferson PH.  Metaire (east bank) where we lived had lots of 50'0 forward also.  They did not flood as bad as Orleans PH.  When house hunting we saw lots of the GE builtin like these.

Metal Edge Supplier

I figure someone might have posted this a long time ago, and it's lost in the archives, but the last (known) supplier for the exact same metal edge that you see above is The New York Metal Store. I ordered the 1" (which is what this looks to be) and it came in 12' lengths. They will cut it down to smaller sizes for shipping but it costs a lot per cut, so I just had it shipped to me in the stock 12' size. Here is the link.

No screws through the face of it like many of the other suppliers offer, and if you prefer the nice smooth edge versus the ribbed one, this stuff is great. I have some actual 1950's vintage edging and it matches it perfectly. They also have the larger 1 5/8" size for those who want more face to it.

Hope this helps.

Awesome!

Great to see some of that survived all the heat, humidity, and of course, the big K. The house I grew up in, along with its 1965 Modern Maid appliances were completely destroyed.

GE must have made that cooktop for a long, long time. The last house we were in had one just like that, in Avacado. It was a 1969 build house. Fortunately that house has a double P7 oven setup, which was one of our favorite ovens.
