Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

OMG just googled

I haven't thought about those in years. How about this one.

My sister had a play supermarket, with all those plastic fruits and cans and boxes. You ran the little cart around and then took it to the register. All the boxes and cans had a familiar look, but the names changed JUST enough to avoid copyright infringement!

That was a fun playset too!

Well. I just figured that with the number of things we have in common from our childhoods, WPs would cause an "aha!" reaction.

Did you have 'em? Oh, they were just the coolest thing when I was in 6th grade. "Chock Full O' Nuts & Bolts", "Grave Train", "Duzn't" (the soap for hippies), etc., etc.

I know they have several series over the years. I've also heard that Bill Griffith (of Zippy The Pinhead fame) got his start at Topps doing WPs.

Reason I bring it up is that I was in Big Box Mart the other day and discovered that they're back again! Gonna have to get some.

Don't know if I had any, but they were

passed around alot. The other Topps memory was getting a baseball card with the huge slap of like grape bubble gum, with literally sugar dusted on the back. The card was trashed but I would end up with that whole pack in my mouth..you had to to keep the flavor going.

That and when Life Savers gum came out...I would enjoy an entire pack at one time.

Ah, the days when too much sugar didn't bother you, and you were thin and could run all day!

I loved them

WP was the coolest form of parody every. Product satire. How could you not like Pepto_Dismal and Classroom Sufferin' Coffee. And even though they are satire, you can tell what the original looked like. Takes you back.

Anyone remember the Garbage Pail Kids?
