Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

It's been that way here lately too...last week it was 90, this week its 60 during the day and 40 at night. Turned on my electric blanket last night and wondered why nothing happened, then I realized I had washed the blanket a month or so ago and never plugged the cord back into it, LOL. The heat kicked in a couple times last night too.

Yes, when I changed the sheets today, I put on flannel sheets. Last washed in DADoES' F&P with Mexican detergent. (&I can still smell the detergent lol)

Glenn, tell me about it! It's enough to drive me insane. It was very warm, but I held out from turning on the AC last night due to the ceiling fan, even though I did NOT cover up!

Tonight, the thermostat was at 80. Turned the AC on to 76...couldn't take it anymore! I'm naturally hot-natured so that doesn't help things any either. Needless to say I'm REALLY looking forward to the pending cold front.

I read 36°F outside a couple weeks ago @ approx 4 AM one morn. It certainly has shot back up since then! Supposed to be 31°F Thu night. Remains to be seen. My A/C system was finally fixed a few weeks ago, so I'm ready ... auxiliary locked out to 25°F, but it'll be able to defrost without blowing a chill.

I washed my sheets, quilt, and comforter in the Calypso (not all together!) and used the vanilla/lavender softener that was brought to the wash-in last month. The scent lingered for several days, was nice.

Spoze to be 20 tomorrow night and 28 the following night, who knows, each forecast is very different right now lol. It's OK, I got mine set on auto so it will switch from AC to heat when it's spoze to.

It will be interseting to see if I break out sleeping on the sheets like I did with the clothes that were washed last year. I like the vanilla side of that scent combinatino vey much. I think it's going to become my linen & towel softener for a while.

OMG Austin, I would cry if I had to endure that kind of heat at night at the end of November, it makes me crazy to even think about it. To each his own, I could never live in a warm climate like that, three to four months of summer is long enough. +9F above right now outside my window, our first temps in the single digits of the season and the pond across the street has just formed a nice layer of ice on top of it for the first time since March. I get to turn on my electric blanket as well, I love my Electric Blanket, I even wrote a special cycle in the Super Unimatic to wash it really gently. Modern Electric Blankets don't seem to hold up in the wash as the ones I remember from the 70's. Oh well, time to go switch it on. Stay cool you guys.

Right now the Thermostat in my room reads 75 degrees.. I just pushed the heat down to 65.. Its supposed to be cold and raniney tommrow i think.. You never know here... The weather is so up and down. It drives me nuts...If it would just be in the mid 60's during the day and in the 40's at night.... I take care of my grandparents and they live in the back wing and they like the house freezing... She set my a/c to 60 degrees when it was 80 out side, so she could put on a sweater and long pants in the house.... After that (and a $330 electric bill) i bought a complicated thermostat that no one dare touchs but me..Mine automaticlly switches over if i tell it too.
At any rate..
Yall in Seattle be safe..

Hi everyone. It is now early morning in Tucson, Az and 27 degrees....only going to 59 today but will warm up on the weekend and back to 70's during the day.

BRING IT ON!!!

I can't wait to set the heater on and the light the pilot on the fireplace again.

Austin, I don't know how you can take it at 76. I put my thermostat on 70 to sleep and I still wake up warm (thanks to Helen rolling on my side lol).

It will feel like Christmas finally.

Get ready its coming!

65 degrees in Chicago yesterday with thunderstorms, this morning at 5:15 when the alarm went off it was 33 degrees and falling.
I drove to work in drizzle that was freezing on the windshield of the car.
Tonight's gonna suck, they are predicting the rain will become sleet, then snow, and by tomorrow morning's rush hour we could have 6-12 inches of the stuff on the ground!!
I hate winter!

Br--r-r-r-r-r-r

The a/c was on this morning at around 5:30 a.m. By the time I dropped daughter off at school, it was 40 degrees! YIKES! My blood is too thin for this kind of weather!

The good news is...it sure makes you want to cook up some calorie-laden goodies and do lots of laundry!! I'm going to make some beef stew for dinner and snickerdoodles for dessert!
