Sona Iron

First thing I thought when I clocked that was 'Proctor Silex'

Have something similar hidden away here somewhere although with a bluey greeny trim that I remember my great gran having as a back up iron.

Wattage

Louis

I have never actually used a dryer of this size but I did check the superficially similar but larger dryer at the weekend and it was rated at 2700 watts. Incidentally, I was some what surprised when I found the my (infamous?) Miele 4920 dishwasher had a rating on only 2000 watts, although I imagine that opens up more markets (like Australia/NZ) for the same machine without modification.

Kandya

Got quite a lot of kitchens to post tonight. These are Kandya (except for the sink which is Grovewood and rather older) - these were around from the late 1950s although they were more comment in the 1960s and even made it into the 1970s. I think its expensive for the age and condition

1970s

This is typical of a late 1960s early 1970s British kitchen right down to the colour. The Moffat hob indicates that it is more like mid 1970s and the size of the oven housing (the oven shown is a replacement) indicates that it would have had a Moffat oven too - so this would not have been a cheap kitchen - its still isn't given the opening bid value on the auction.

1970s Schriber

Before they went bust and the name was bought up by MFI.

This is definitely mid-1970s although the AEG Oven (the top oven/grill door opened rather like that of a Flair) I would have dated rather later than mid 1970s. The hob looks like a Cannon, the hood over its looks to be much later and is really out of character with the rest of the kitchen.

I could almost be tempted and the price is right ......
Nah, I have spent far to much time fixing up my current kitchen to write that off
