Burco floor standing electric wash boiler. There is no agitator or any other sort of water movement device in this, just the heater element at the bottom of the tub. You washed the clothes in the sink and then put them in to boil.

Parnall Dryer. To have been a rare and expensive item back in the 1950s there are not half a lot of them still about

My Mum had one of these, it was still going strong after 20 years. Coincidentally it has its heritage in a later version Parnall dryer

Belling format

Hi Al
Many thanks for posting the belling format info ... I have seen a few recently on eBay and some in really good condition... Those early versions of the format are the ones I like the most. I remember that brochure that unfolded to show the picture.. Wow! .. I will get a format one of these days!

There was also a tricity double oven and a built in vogue fridge on eBay .. However they disappeared before I got the chance to upload the add!

Siematic

not sure I should post this here as it is neither British nor classic, but it certainly has a pleasing retro look about it. Its pricy for its age (I would reckon about 15 years) Siematic or no Siematic
