I was in Tesco supermarket yesterday and came across a new variant of Reckitt Benckiser's Finish dishwasher detergent.
It is known as "Max-in-1", and has done away with the DIY opening of the outer wrapper, preferring instead to use a shrink-wrapped dissolvable film around each tablet.
The tablets look suspiciously like the Finish 'Classic' variant, and claim to have 10 'actions', including tea-stain removal, shine function, etc.
What got my attention though, was that there is no mention of rinse-aid function. Indeed, there is small print saying that multi-function tablets can never act as drying agents, and it tells us to use Finish 'TurboDry' rinse aid/drying agent, too!
Finally admitting what we already knew!
The packaging is on a smaller scale to P&G's 'Fairy'/'Cascade' plastic boxes. I think there were 28 tablets at the "introductory offer of £5.00" (17.9 pence per tablet).
Didn't buy any; I still have tons of the older boxes to go through first.
