All I need to know if their washers are as bad as their Hi-fi's???? Featured in the Argos Catalog along side a brand name called "Haus".... Any comments??
Peter
I just picked up the new Argos book and saw those, I think they are probably as bad as Servis. Afraid I wouldn't buy one or one of those Haus machines.
The Haus machines look very Beko like, but I think they use Haier electronics, ironically some Haier machines sold in the middle east and asia are rebadged mid90s square(ish) door Indesits, so I'd rate those quite highly
Lol its like rogue traders..once people no how terrible they are they change the company name!! lol! still haiers hiding under another name! Bloody awful. I lifted one without to much difficulty. I'm 5ft 7 and thin lol. It was like liftin a small fridge. Terrible.
is non existant, they havent made anything since the 1970s when they were taken over the "EMI Rank" organisation........most of the British brands, Bush, Alba, Goodmans, Murphy etc have all gone, the names are owned by other companies now.
All brought in from China etc, all cheap rubbish, it is a shame to see what where once good qaulity audio/TV manufacturers names being used on this cheap disposable junk.
As far as white goods go personaly i would avoid them
Arogs now owns the bush and alba names and yes these machines are rebadged haiers, one of which i have it is a reliable machine hasnt had any breakdowns since we got it a over a year ago but it will be replace soon anyway by the new hotpoint im getting. the only thing i really hate about my haier is the very very long wash time, 2:24 for a cottoons 40* wash extraordianay when compared to my nannys 8 year old Elux which does cottons 40* in 1:10.
that was the only annoyance I had with my Beko. It was a good machine, proved reliable and had good wash performance but it just took bleedin' ages. My Miele does 40 cottons in 1hr15mins max - much better wash time. It's a darn sight quieter too.
The rights to the Bush trademark were purchased by Argos (a large catelogue retailer in the UK and Ireland) back in 2008 and are exclusive to their stores.
Old British brands, Bush and Alba became Argos-only in 2009.
Home Retail Group, the owner of Argos, has bought two of Britain's oldest radio and television brands, Alba and Bush, for £15.25m to save the "very strong heritage" of the unprofitable businesses.
