UK Persil Power – Who Remembers It? Muhahahaha! ;-)

As title. Does anyone remember UK Persil Power?! ;-)

We used it, and it ate a few of my lovely white socks!. This was when we had our Hotpoint Microtronic – bless him! hehe – but it did seem to clean well! LOL Well, Persil Power actually ate some of the clothes, too, so it took not just the stains but the fabric as well – stain removal by removal of fabric! LOL ;-) And these were not old clothes! hehe

Not sure what the Hottie actually thought of it! LOL ;-)

It contained a “Manganese Accelerator”! Eeek! ;-)

Well at least it would keep your wardrobe quite new..

I would hope they would test stuff a little more nowadays, but just like medicine, they probably test it less

Yes I remember this very well - it seemed to be hailed as a breakthrough in laundry cleaning technology. Unfortunately, it was a bit too much of a breakthrough which, if memory serves, P & G cashed in on. I used it for a very short while with no problems that I recall. Was it not around the same time that Hotpoint had all that problem with their machines tearing clothes?
