For those UK memebers who are interested in the history of Televison there is an interesting documentary being repeated on BBC 4 tomorrow night (2nd November) at 22.45. Entitled "JLB - The Man Who Saw The Future" I think it was origionally shown in early 2003 and discusses the contribution made by John Logie Baird in the development of television and other fields in the first half of the 20th century. Well worth watching.

I am not sure, but it may be possible for non-Uk residents to see it on BBC iPlayer

Did you watch "Electric Dreams"? A British family had to go back to the 70's then advanced a year a day until 1999, recieving that latest technology each day..........dissapointing on the appliance front and inacurate ( they had a Hoover Senior Ranger in 1970). The "Housewife" using a 1960's Hoover Twintub was painful to watch. Put clothes in ( way to many ) then added water and then promptly switched off as she could smell burning.......she thought due to age of machine........not the fact that she had put an 11lb load into a 5lb tub!
