So I’ve been enjoying my Porcelain tank Ultra Wash that I found a few months ago. Now that the fill valve is fixed it’s been a great performer. I’ve made a few other unauthorized upgrades, including a more deluxe upper rack that is height adjustable. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to put the adjusters on the original rack, so I I have a green one and a grey one but the adjustability is well worth. That does bring me to my point of how close they cut the clearance on these units. Tonight I had a load with a few stemmed glasses in the upper rack and I had to rearrange things several times to get everything to work, and even still the arm just cleared. I guess that’s just part of the learning curve with this machine.

When you have the rack lowered, you need to be careful that the arm clears large plates in the lower rack. There is no China guard like in a KitchenAid. If you find that there are clearance issues for the feed cup, move taller plates to the outside of the rack. Before you start it, reach in and give the upper wash arm a spin to see if it clears stuff in the lower rack.
