I recently switched to Sunlight Ultra powder from Gain liquid. I really like the sunlight, it both washes and rinses very well in my TL Maytag. It also has a nice lemon sent which does not linger in my clothes after the wash. Here's a link to the website, I'm not sure if this is available in The US.

I wish this was available in the US! I like Sunlight a lot. The lemon scent is refreshing compared to the overly perfumed products we have here. I always bring this home when I visit Quebec and Toronto (usually the small and mighty formulation because it lasts longer for me).

I also like the Lemon Scented Tide you have up there as well. Last time I was up there I noticed that the Sears Detergent was available in Lemon scent too.

Am almost sure have seen Lemon Tide at the local Nationwide Wholesale store, will check again next time am down that way. Though tempted, never touched the stuff due to Tide's famous history of being highly sudsing; a big no no in my Miele.

I think I'm going to stick with the Sunlight for a while. I really am very surprised how well it rinses out of the clothes, so much better then any P&G stuff. I never really liked any variety of Tide, it's prone to over sudsing and the sent never rinses out. Sunlight and Tide are in direct competition here in Canada.

It's probably the same formula as Wisk, the Fresh Rain is probably the same scent as ALL Fresh Rain. All that is missing is the Persil "splat"...

At least you have the poweders there!

The North American Unilever Small and Mighty products would be slightly different given that they're formulated for top loading machines with much higher water volumes that can handle foam.

Their European counter Small and Mighty liquids are all low foaming and designed for low water volume machines.

Their recent predecessor, Persil Liquigel was a terrible product. It completely over-foamed at all times. It might have been a good product for a US toploader.
Using the suggested dose, according to the instructions on the bottle in a Whirlpool front loader foam actually flowed onto the floor during the spin after the wash!!

Thankfully, the Small and Might formulation actually works!

I really like the smell of Persil Small and Mighty, it's kind of citrus, but not quite. Hard to describe. Extremely fresh though.

Surf Small and Mighty Sun Fresh is a very 'traditional' laundry detergent smell. Kind of takes me back to the 1980s. Nice smell though!

I think Sunlight is closest to American all detergent. I have not been able to find any indications that Sunlight contains enzymes. Wisk is an enzyme formula but all is not.
