Unique Hotpoint Washer

There has been discussion about this particular short-lived Hotpoint washer, but I don't believe anyone among us actually owns one. I ran across this ad for sale on Ebay that I thought was a nice (albeit over-simplified) explanation of the washer's capabilities.

Lawrence I always thought these were a very cool idea and always wanted one. I have never actually seen in person however, from what little I did see of HP solid tub washers I don't think that they set many longevity records. But I would love to find one of these or the early 1960s Touch Command washers in black of corse. These two HP ST washer models are about the only two that I would get that excited about having.

I have a few pictures!
We had several Hotpoints all bol models except the last from 1977 that was TOL!
They washed / rinsed real well but didnt make it past the 6 year mark!
I remember seeing these double tub models in the stores I think around 69 or 70.

Well Built - thats debateable - great washers but they didnt last to long!

I dont know how well this water level worked especially I thought they were all timed fill. We didnt have that selection on ours!

Hotpoint Dryers!

I have some of the dryers from this era but they were already made by GE but styled like the hotpoints. I would be interested in getting more information of their own 50's and 60's dryers especially the condenser models. Please post if anyone has literature.

A question

When using both tubs how could the water from the upper tub not touch the clothes in the lower tub when it was spinning the water out? I would love to see one of these!
