Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That ad has been posted for a while, along with the phrase "picture to follow."
How long does it take to shoot a quick picture? They took the time to upload a picture from someone on this site, but couldn't take a picture of the actual machines? Something isn't right.

Someone should send them an email....were just have to know the stupidity of people....

thats like the ones who have not tested it, but swears it runs, asking a high price......how the hell can you not find out if it works....THEY don't have Electric yet in your neck of the woods?....its a great new invention...soon to follow, Extension cords.....

Now the only excuse I would buy right now, is if they were in one of the flooded areas, and the electric is off for right now......BUT you could do a water test for us!....let me guess....Out of water too?

if the Village calls....we found their IDIOT!.....do you think the Reward will be higher than the price he is asking for this machine....

Awwwww that's so unfair. I want this set! And call me crazy, if I had the money, I would pay the $500 they're asking. This is my ultimate dream set.

Be Reasonable, Guys!

While it is true that sellers often make inflated claims about their items, I believe it's also true that none of us here have actually laid eyes, much less hands, on this pair. It's not likely, but given that we don't have any actual information, it's even possible that this set is in better condition than the one pictured.

Until we find out what the actual condition of this set is, I don't think it's fair to cast aspersions on either the merchandise or the intentions of the seller. Believe it or not, there are still scads of people out there who don't have a digital camera or a cameraphone. It wasn't terribly cool for them to borrow a picture from here, but at least they referred to the site, which is way more than some other borrowers have done.

Kenny:

I think two other things should be borne in mind here:

One, this is Craigslist, where the usual procedure is for the buyer to go and look at the merchandise before committing - it's not like eBay, where you must trust the seller's description and then commit to the purchase price plus shipping. So, the chances of getting ripped off are fairly low if one knows how to judge a used appliance's condition. Basically, the worst that can happen is that you waste a little time and gas going to look.

Two, Cambridge is Julia Child's old neighborhood, a very moneyed area. An appliance from there might very well have lived a privileged life, with lots of TLC. Hard to know until one actually looks at the goods, but it's not a bad sign. [this post was last edited: 11/3/2012-11:20]
