Okay, I have a tough one.

Can ANYONE tell me if there is an unscented DISHWASHER detergent?

thanks

I'll check it out. I've been using "Palmolive baking soda scent" (I didn't know that baking soda had a scent) but I'd like something that smelled like...nothing.

Seventh Generation makes a "Free & Clear" powder that's free of dyes and fragrances, and it works very well to boot. It's the dishwasher detergent I use most often.

I really don't like the scented DW detergents myself. I hate it when you open the machine up and get blasted by lemon or orange or ever worse, a floral bloom!
We use the Walmart stuff most of the time, or the Cascade "Clean Scent" detergents which don't smell too bad.
Since we discuss vintage stuff here, back in the very early 60's when my parents first got their Mobile Maid DW the machine had a special smell to it when it was done washing. It was sort of a clean baked type of smell. I can't really describe it. They used Electrosol at the time in that machine.

There USED to be "Dishwasher All", an unscented powder that worked well and was really quite affordable, but Unilever axed it.

I would give the Seventh Generation a whirl. I know someone who uses it and loves it.

I love the Cascade scent, After 40 years of use it means clean dishes to me. Over the years I've tried other brands but missed the clean smell I associate with Cascade. It's changed a bit over the years but still retains it's unique smell.

Now, my laundry stuff all has to be unscented.
