franklin ?

I think those are 1980s vintage franklin built units-plastic,indexing tub, possibly angel wing agitator.Earlier units are spin drain, later versions,~1990 up? have electric drain pump.Tough washers even if wash performance of the indexing tub is debatable :)I'd guess the machines pictured are early '80s vintage and would be welcome in my collection :)

I had a similar washer like this in an apartment I was living in...no electric pump on this one and yes there is a plastique wash basket and 4 vane angel wing agitator. Not the quietest machine by any means and yes the tub indexes on each return stroke. The washer is also rather on the small side capacity wise...3 pairs of jeans for a load. The dryer I had was made by GE and was the 3.5 cu ft one. It was 240v and did ok drying. When it came to drying sheets I had to load one sheet at a time to dry. Doing laundry with these was an all day affair.
When my ex was working in Toronto, the high rise he was staying in had a similar washer as well that had the Frigidaire designed HydroSurge agitator that was had 4 curved vanes in the bottom of the agitator that did an impressive job at rollover and washing....surprisingly good.
