That's OK Lawrence. I'm glad it's going to a good home with a mate waiting for it. Just make sure you post lots and lots of pictures when you get the two of them together, especially a nice close-up of that dial with the automatic cycle.
I've told this story before, but my Parents and our downstairs neighbors bought their laundry machines from the same store at the same time and the four appliances were delivered to the house on the same day in November of 1962. Unfortunately for the delivery men, our washer was delivered up 3 flights of stairs with a curve at the top of each with our neighbor's dryer, also a GE but from the previous model year, which, instead of having a black and chrome panel had a blue and chrome panel. The neighbors were willing to let it go but my Mother, ever the princess, couldn't stomach the idea of shelling out so much money for a matching pair that didn't match. There was a lot of grumbling that day and I'm still surprised that the dryer in question, the one you are about to get, didn't arrive on the 4th floor with a big dent on it somewhere. It worked like a champ for more than 16 years without a hitch; it was fast, quiet and was still working when we sold the house. The automatic cycle worked flawlessly although I was the only person in the house that used it.
