Hi all,
So, quick update on the Maytag washer I posted about a couple weeks ago. It's now been nearly two weeks since installed, and so far it's working perfectly. I've been getting accustomed to it, like learning what is a perfect size load for it, was kind of a learning curve. I now realize that in order for it to get good roll-over, I load it full but not packed, as in, top roll of holes in the tub but loaded loosely, not crammed in. Generally, if I can carry the load to the washer in my arms in one trip without dropping anything, it's probably going to work out.
Another thing I noticed, wonder if anyone else has had this experience, is that detergent pods don't work as well in older, deep-fill machines. With my 2016 Whirlpool, one pod did the trick every time, but in this 1980's Maytag, I found that one pod wasn't getting clothes very clean, but two pods did just fine. That didn't seem very economical to me so I switched back to Liquid, Persil to be exact. I'm washing with it as I type this, in fact, and notice much better results than I was getting with the pods.
It's a great machine. I am definitely happy with it. As far as model number goes, the sticker is on the back of the machine. I use a special program to read text, and I'm having trouble getting my phone back there and in the right position to read the whole sticker.
