I have several updates to project Primus W-10X^2 and I would like to share a video or two. I have never uploaded videos on Youtube and I was wondering if anyone here can help me with this. I realize that the video will have to be in a particular format, but what type of camera should I use to take the videos? Would a normal digital camera work?

I have a late model Canon elph camera. Video size is determined by the size of the removable memory card. As you can see from my videos, it does very well and Consumers seems to rate them highly. I'm very pleased with it.

Hey,

I found that my everyday digi cam (Olympus FE-360) did a great job for YouTube vids. I shot them then uploaded them. Easy-peasy! BTW, .avi was the default format on my camera, and YT took it just fine.

Good luck,
Chuck

There is a limit on the file size and I think it's 2GB. I also think I saw a time limit (max) of 10 minutes.

I have also uploaded videos in .AVI format and they work just fine!

The early videos I uploaded were in .AVI format but I found that using windows movie maker to change them to .wmv made it so they would upload faster.

Thanks a lot. The camera that I use is over 10 years old and it only has 15 sec video. I'm going to need a lot more than 15 sec. I found a sony Mavica MVC CD400 for cheap on ebay, hopefully it will do the trick. Has anyone here used these cameras before? Use Microsoft movie Maker, Check.
