My grand old lady is suffering again, and before I call out my man (who I'm sure secretly hates me) I'm turning to you guys for advice again.
I have a 30-year old Hoover Logic 1000 which I love and adore, and is normally brilliant - apart from the odd glitch here and there. (The last glitch was the timer, and it was only by coming here was I able to find a new one - thanks Chris!)
- For a couple of weeks, I've noticed a small leak after washes and I identified this as coming from underneath. I didn't worry too much and bought a tray to stand her in. (This may be irrelevant of course.)
- Then the next thing to happen was the spin being missed out of washes (again). I got round this by just running a G spin after the washes, which did the trick. I must admit these spins have been noisier than usual - the last one sounded as if there was a small bag of gravel in there!
- But today - this didn't work! :-( I ran a G spin but although the machine made its normal 'swishing' noise, nothing actually happened - the drum stayed put and didn't go round. After standing watching it for a while, I decided that nothing WAS going to happen, so I ended up just dragging the dripping washing out of the machine, and heaving it outside to hang on the line.
Clearly something must be done urgently, and I most likely will have to call out my man on Monday. (And of course he'll tell me to buy a new machine, like he always does! And I always say, "Find me a hot fill one and I will" - stalemate!)
The first thing that sprang to mind was the timer again (due to missing out the spins - this is why I had to get one before) - but the timer that went in last time was actually a brand new one? It was installed in 2017, but I'm not a careless user and try to wash only once a week (although sometimes twice or more in good weather). Having said that, I didn't use the machine at all while I had Covid, but since then I've been giving her a bit of a hammering to catch up - perhaps I've been overworking her?
I'm not an engineer so don't ask me if I've examined my brushless motors or anything like that (I wouldn't know what I was looking at even if I did get the top off, lol) - but I would very much appreciate some advice off the top of your heads as to what it might be. The missing spins could well be due to the timer, but as I said, it was new when installed? (And I don't like the fact like that running a spin on its own isn't working - I'm now frightened to do another wash!)
Any help gratefully received - and @servischris, are you still out there?!

Timer for Hoover Logic 1000 (A3670) urgently required!
I've had my Hoover Logic 1000 from new, and I've had very little trouble with it. So far I've been able to get parts for it, but the timer is proving almost impossible to find. My service engineer and I are spending hours online, but I'm rather disgusted to see people advertising these as...
