Hi we are planing stage of a refit on our house, and one thing I would like is a US size DW are any available in the UK, our current DW is a Miele in line raised about a foot from the floor witch I love as its so easy to load / unload. DW's in other people's houses always feel like your in toy-town when they are so low on the ground, and you have to get on your knees to clean and refill the salt ect. BUT A. its no longer made and B. it is a bit small if I could find something like the Miele only bigger it would be perfect and its needs to be in stainless steel. Not asking for much am I.

We had a full-size Miele for a few years in our last house.. There wasn't really any appreciable or noticeable difference in the size of it and our KitchenAid. I actually found the Miele easier to load and it held just as much.. I  think the tines were closer.

In the fifties and sixties it was not uncommon to import American machines in Europe. I remember neighbours having an American topload washer and other neighbours having an American GE dishwasher. When European appliance makers offered enough for Europeans to choose, importing American appliances stopped. IIRC Maytag had some 220V models that were sold in Europe. But that is quite a while ago. I guess with appliances becoming cheaper over the years, the cost of transportation are too high to make importing American machines interesting.

What about this?

It's by no means "American" but it's designed to be raised from the floor with a drawer beneath and is 90 cm large, it will hold a complete 12 place setting set of dishes.
Of course is ALL stainless steel (even the racks) has an indoor light and automatic programs

Try this

Its a Siemens - Made in Germany - 14 place settings.
3 Automatic Programmes (Intensive 65-75, Normal 45-65, Delicates & glass wear 35-45), 3 standard programmes (Eco, Quick, Pre-rinse), 4 options (Shine & Dry-Extra drying pretty much or Half Load, Speed perfect/Vario Speed, Intensive Zone & Hygiene), 24hrs time delay. LCD display on the front to show you the exact cleaning progress. Inside Blue light for viability - cutlery drawer instead of cutlery basket. Very energy efficient.
It is semi integrated- so you have to put a small door on the bottom, but it will match with the rest of your kitchen, the control panel is finger print free stainless steel, and will show in the kitchen. It can be installed up to 1ft off the floor.
