I figured well, I have a bench vise, grinder, workbench, why not a battery charger to jump start the non union Huksy if and when the battery goes south.
Looking around at the stores in my area............well it was par for the course on most things these days. Overpriced junk from Mexico or China.
In keeping with buying USA made when it makes sense, I found a place in Michigan called Rizk National Industries that makes their chargers in the US. Lots to choose from, from basic to state of the art. Of considerable importance was the warranty 5 years, on the 2 most blown up parts, the transformer and rectifier. Reviews on these are overwhelmingly positive.
Plus it has a 550AMP boost in case the Toyota-san decides not to spin over. I believe this was the same outfit my dad ordered up some USA made jumper cables I got last year for Christmas.
Perhaps I will never need it but just in case...........might as well go with something that is worthy. Plus it is red in color which matches the USA Baldor bench grinder! See, I can color match when I need to.
