I'm actually more curious to know if anyone in this group has seen one of these or actually owns one? Did not realize that Hotpoint had an automatic this old. The book is on Ebay.

Wow! I have never seen any advertising or other clues that Hotpoint also had an automatic washer this early. Interesting agitator shape...
I remember them but was too young to pay them any mind-----the Frigidaires are what caught my attention----- mostly the spool up to spin. We had a neighbor with one of these in their basement. We kids used to play down there in bad weather. I just remember standing on something to look inside. The agitator had a large aluminum disc for a cap. I remember the agitator as metal.

The agitator reminds me of something that belongs with an Easy but without the "spirals".
I'm assuming the companion dryer is a Hamilton just like the corresponding GE dryer for the GE washer.

This was largely a Beam design, two motors, fluid drive and that red, winged agitator. Robert has one of these agitators, it really works well in his 52 Speed Queen.
A friend of ours had this washer in her kitchen next to the sink. The original laundry with the set tubs was in the basement. They pulled the hot and cold connections from under the kitchen sink, but they drained the machine through the floor into a pipe that ended above the tubs and the water would fall into them like Niagara. It was had to tell where it was more exciting to be; on the stairs beside and slightly above the tubs or upstairs beside the machine.
That machine did not actually have any sort of water fill termination for the rinse. The water ran into the machine all during the rinse and only shut off when the timer clicked out of rinse and into spin.

I found that book years ago at an estate sale, oh if only that washer was still there with the book! I'm sure I'd still have that machine in my collection if it was.
