Hi All,
Have one of these babies on display and operational where I work.
Always been a huge fan of the Miele machines (have a W3933 and T8633 at home) but these are pretty impressive.
Expect to sell quite a few of them, if anyone is interested in a demo please let me know.
David.

Zug Adora

Hi David and welcome to AW lots to see & discuss here, I take it you work at Elite Appliances then??

They certainly are impressive machines, have been putting the pair through their paces here in the UK, a very robust machine with lots of programme options....the heat pump dryer certainly save the electric meter spinning around....which is great considering whats been spent on gas over this cold snap!!!

Looking forward to hearing what you think about them!!!

Zug

Indeed that is where I am found!
Seem to be a good machine, well built, larger capacity than the Miele and just something "different".

One of the guys here found the demo mode the other day, so it no longer starts running automatically after 20 seconds now. Much easier to demonstrate!

On a side note, glad I found this forum, been spending hours trolling through the posts (much to my partner's horror - he thinks I already spend too much time thinking about appliances!)

One Adora SLQ's found its way to Italy too :)
By the way, a newer 2010 Adora SLQ is now available -- they've added a 20C wash button and tweaked with water/energy consumption

Price

We don't set the price.......... I would expect pricing could be adjusted over time. But the overheads per unit are massive compared to Miele. Have a look at luxury cars here and do a currency conversion!!
Dishwashers are just under $3k.

So Chris, when would you like yours delivered and how will you be paying? ;)
d.

Miele ex-display is normally RRP less 20%. So TOL would still be over $3k. Personally I like my stuff to be untouched, especially as they are as demos on a retail floor. Plumbed in usually and not treated well!

I've bought 2 Miele's as ex display and never had any issue. I paid $2500 for a W2888 with stacking kit and $2850 without.

The first one is now coming up to almost 3 years old. I have never had a mechanical issue with the ex display stuff.

High end Miele is very overpriced for what it is, I would never pay RRP for that stuff. The Mid range stuff I think is good value for money.

The best Miele washer I've bought, is the W2515, it cost about $2.5K is very flexible and just gets on with the job without any of the quirks that the more "Intelligent" models have. Its not as noisey as the W1511 but still is reasonabley priced.

Brand new would be nice, but to spend over $3K on a machine that doesnt offer much more than the $2.5K model I just cant come at.

David...

....Whilst I would love one RIGHT NOW....it would mean sure divorce if I spent that much money....

Me thinks I shall wait until the price falls considerably...which it probably will, before taking that particular plunge

ahh well the W2888 3 years ago was significantly less that the $3,799 for the W3985, so that would explain it!
I'll get the Zug when my 18 month old W3933 goes......... so in about 18 years I reckon. Any earlier and I will also be getting a divorce.

This price beats my Navitronic but I enjoy the programs more than I would at the V-ZUG. But I love the balancing system. My Navitronic is a little bit "stupid" in that way. She spins like "Ok, lets get this party started, no matter if I'm unbalanced. We can reduce the spin speed anyway. Whooooo, here we go" *lol*

dryer price

$3,590
Has an awesome (and unique I believe) feature, can be linked to washer electronically and receive load information directly to determine how best to dry following on from the wash cycle. Cool!

Maybe quite cool, but isn't that what internal sensors do in a Miele..?

...sense the load and dry it accordingly...

So, sorry to say that I will not be getting a Zug anytime soon....
