Kool vacs

A "fellow" vac collector-I have some of the ones you have.I also specialize in Kirbys,Royals-but like most of the hi-end models-early Hoover and 'Lux.Any pictures of the ones you have? I still need to get a camera and figure out how to load the pictures into my computer.

Girl, were you standing on your head or what, great pics, looks like you have a treasure chest of goodies, wish I could see your place of stuff, seems like it would be great fun, what other pics of stuff, if any, do you have?

I have a Turquoise Compact just like what you have-got it from a fellow Applianceville Member. Also get vacs as "trade ins" when I sell TriStars(new Compact)the condition of trade ins vastly varies-some are in excellent shape-others are badly beat up.I have the local kirby,Rainbow dealer helping out as well-even the local vac store-he will call me if an interesting one comes in or if someone leaves their vac there for over 30 days after a repair-I get some that way for the price of the repair-the shop owner secretly "tags" them for me when I visit. There is also a couple of "swap shops" I frequent as well. Also look in the pawn shops-sometimes they turn up there.I too have some Filter Queens.Got 'em from the Filter Queen dealer that closed down out here.Too bad-got to know him well.I haven't sold a TriStar in a while-but keep up with the dealer-I go out on demos with him many times and we take turns doing the demos for prospects. He works a a car dealer now and sells part time now.You have some excellent machines.Do you use them? I use mine on sort of rotation.

Uploading pictures

Seems like everyone forgets that owning a digital camera is not necessary to get pictures onto a site. A regular film camera will do, just have the pictures put on CD when having them developed. They can them be put into a compter and uploaded to wherever you want. I use Pictureworks (formerly Seattle Filmworks). They'll give you your pictures back as prints, negatives, and on CD's. They also will store your pictures on their servers forever, so long as you develop at least 1 roll with them a year. You can then give a URL that will let people see your pictures.

I've gotten to point that when I develop film, I order just the CD and the negatives, figuring that if I really need prints, I can go down to the local store and use the CD or the negatives to get them. This saves $ on the initial developing. I'm holding off on getting a ditial camera, since I would insist on 35mm resolution, which calls something above 5 megapixels. At this point, those digital cameras are still in the $500+ range, so I figure I'll just wait and keep using my Canon AE-1 film SLR

neato Easy Washer

I never owned or used one-but would like to have one.The forerunner to the Twin tub machines we see today.Sadly older washers are as rare as hens teeth in my area-I keep inquiring at all the haunts around here-they say haven't seen any yet-we usually throw them out-you are the only one that has asked for older machines.

hot stuff

looks like she has a GE range I would say,am I right?love that EASY spin-drier washer, does it work? The last time I saw one was around Christmas, and oddly enough, it looked EXACTLY like this one.

The Easy works great, a friend of mine found it ready to be trashed and you know these are tresures some people dont see the art in it but thats good for people like us lol. The range is a GE model J466 and love the 2 ovens more food for my husband lol lol.
