Do any washers use variable speed drain pumps?

I recently came across a variable speed condensate drain pump for HVAC, see link.

"runs at the minimum speed needed, saving wear on the pump. The pump selects the lowest effective speed, making it quieter than a regular pump. Its unique self-cleaning feature senses problems and automatically enters a self-cleaning mode using condensate water to fix the issue." ( For the self-cleaning mode it quickly runs at top speed to use it's maximum power to clear a blockage.)

I got one of these to replace a very noisy one & it is MUCH quieter.

Wondering if this technology would provide an advantage if used for washing machines. It perhaps could make the pump quieter by running on low speed during final spin, for example. And quieter by starting up gradually and winding down gradually as the drum approaches empty.

LG

All of LG's newer models use variable speed drain pumps, as well as variable speed recirculation pumps on models with TurboWash.

Some models include (in USA)
Wm3400
Wm3500
Wm3600
Wm3700
Wm3900(TurboWash)
Wm4000(TurboWash)
Wm4200(TurboWash)
Wm4500(TurboWash)

Bosch too!

Can't edit so I'll post another reply:

I've also heard that Bosch/Siemens washers with the 4D-Wash system also utilize variable speed drain/recirculation pumps. According to a friend of mine, it ramps up if it detects a lot of water being extracted in spin. Otherwise, it runs at a very low (and quiet) speed once initial draining completes.

Yes!

The WashTower units utilize variable speed drain and recirculation pumps to my knowledge. They're brand new models so I wouldn't see any reason why they wouldn't, seeing as LG started using DC pumps in 2018 I think it was.
