Ah yes Plastisol

the first GE dishwasher.

I remember 1983 during big junk week. I picked up 4 of these GE dishwashers at different locations, each in a different color. Some were portable, others built-in.

I remember a coffee color built-in had a scratch on the inside door that was never fixed and it started rusting to the point where the spot was 4" in diameter, but the machine worked otherwise. lol.

Ah <span style="text-decoration: underline;">Big Junk Week</span>.  The sound of that is like a vacation for any serious appliance collector; I suppose any collector for that matter.


Every street held the promise of any number of free appliances ready to just put in your vehicle and go.  I quickly learned how much space 20-30 major appliances takes up.  lol
