Hello Mike,
Have not been here for a while, busy with work and house painting while the weather is good! Enjoying a time out after the weekend shift and found the above on Youtube - watched it from start to finish! Lovely presentation, and hats off to our predecessors who fought Nazi tyranny over 75 years ago. Back in 2014, I converted my old van, a 1996 Nissan Urvan E24, to a camper and had a memorable trip to Normandy in 2014, for the D-Day 70th anniversary celebrations. Drove to and camped at St Mere-Eglise, Grandcamp-Maisy and Pointe du Hoc, the landing beaches and Pegasus Bridge and met some great people, including some British veterans. Most memorable holiday in my life. Had a feature on that van published in 'Classic Van and Pickup' magazine published early 2018. Really made me appreciate what those brave young soldiers went through back then. Here is a pic of me with my van in St. Mere Eglise - I sold the van since after moving house, but it is still on the road to date. Hope all of you on AW are coping well during these strange times. Stay safe.

Virtual Meets

Morning Peter

Glad you enjoyed the first, a few more to follow and will do a thread tomorrow, at a time when we couldnt all meet up this has been the next best thing along with the Zoom meetings lol..

Memories in a van, now thats one trip to remember, at a time when we really need to keep up the campaigns against all wars it is to the memories of remembrance that we need to turn to for it not to be repeated !!

Would love to see the link to the 2018 van article if available ?

Cheers, Mike
