Have not been here for a while, busy with work and house painting while the weather is good! Enjoying a time out after the weekend shift and found the above on Youtube - watched it from start to finish! Lovely presentation, and hats off to our predecessors who fought Nazi tyranny over 75 years ago. Back in 2014, I converted my old van, a 1996 Nissan Urvan E24, to a camper and had a memorable trip to Normandy in 2014, for the D-Day 70th anniversary celebrations. Drove to and camped at St Mere-Eglise, Grandcamp-Maisy and Pointe du Hoc, the landing beaches and Pegasus Bridge and met some great people, including some British veterans. Most memorable holiday in my life. Had a feature on that van published in 'Classic Van and Pickup' magazine published early 2018. Really made me appreciate what those brave young soldiers went through back then. Here is a pic of me with my van in St. Mere Eglise - I sold the van since after moving house, but it is still on the road to date. Hope all of you on AW are coping well during these strange times.
